- Maori artist Daniel Ormsby is a key figure in the evolution of Maori art who expresses himself through carving, painting or Ta Moko (traditional Maori tattooing). His artwork exists in differing mediums, with differing inspiration and differing ways of coming into being. Some are the offspring of inspiration. Others are a laborious, rationaled product conceived with design and purpose. Some are spontaneous bursts of almost arrogamt creativity. This was sold at an art auction for my kids school for a Hawaii trip.
It symbolises my journey into this life and the cultural heritages i stepped into.
