About Me

Daniel Ormsby, Artist
Maori artist Daniel Ormsby is a key figure in the evolution of Maori art who expresses himself through carving, painting or Ta Moko (traditional Maori tattooing). His artwork exists in differing mediums, with differing inspiration and differing ways of coming into being. Some are the offspring of inspiration. Others are a laborious, rationaled product conceived with design and purpose. Some are spontaneous bursts of almost arrogamt creativity. They all reflect his being, and the thoughts, feelings and personalities he possesses at that particular time of creation. www.danielormsbymaoriart.com
